Bake Sale to Benefit Veterans
The U.S. Soldiers Foundation, with offices in Monroe, will partner with Wal Mart and area churches in Bastrop for a giant bake sale to benefit our veterans. All donated cakes and pies will sell for $15 each. The sale will be located at Wal Mart on the Mer Rouge Road. Contact Amy Piro at 318-737-7009 for more information on donating baked goods. A Ribbon Cutting sponsored by the Chamber will be held for Verizons to celebrate their new location at 2044 E. Madison in Bastrop. Come out and see their new location. August 26th

Luncheon for Governor Jindal
The Chamber is hosting a luncheon for Gov. Jindal at the Bastrop Municipal Center. The luncheon will begin at 12:00 noon. Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased prior to the event. Call the Chamber at 318-281-3794 for more information. |

Public Utility Commissioner Foster Campbell Guest Speaker
The Bastrop-Morehouse Chamber of Commerce is hosting Foster Campbell, Commissioner for Louisiana Public Utilities on September 29, 2010. The luncheon will be held at the Visitor Center in Bastrop beginning at 11:30. Commissioner Campbell has served in this position since 2002. Prior to this service, Commissioner Campbell served in the Louisiana State Senate from 1976 to 2002. Tickets must be purchased prior to the luncheon and are $10 each. Read More
