WHAT IS THE CHAMBER?

The Chamber is a non-profit action association designed to meet the needs of the growing Bastrop/Morehouse business community. It is a voluntary organization of businesses, professionals and interested individuals who join together to advance the interests of the community and work together to make Morehouse Parish a better place to live, work and play. It is a legislative representative, an information bureau and a business resource tool. The Chamber is operated through its members by an elected board of directors who serve on a voluntary basis. The Chamber is also composed of standing committees that explore and report issues concerning Agriculture, Education, Legislative, Health Care and Non-Profit, Economic Development and Member Services.

WHO CAN JOIN THE CHAMBER?

Chamber membership is an investment in the present and future of Morehouse Parish. Any firm or individual sharing a common interest in community improvement is eligible for membership.

CHAMBER PARTNERS

The Chamber is also partnered with Main Street, MEDD, City of Bastrop, the Villages of Bonita, Collinston, Mer Rouge, and Oak Ridge, MEDCO, Morehouse Tourism Commission, the Morehouse Parish Police Jury, the Morehouse Parish School Board, Retail Association, Morehouse Core Group and the Beautification Committee.
